How to wear colored jeans

When I first wrote this post I titled it "Colored Jeans.... Must or Bust," but since then I've run out and bought a pair and they are definitely a must!  This fabulous pair I found from Anthropologie are not only super cute, but they go with a ton of different things in my closet.  For those of us on a beer budget, it's great when you can get one staple item for the season and pair it with items you already own.  Here's a few of the outfits I came up with.

 Pair them with a crisp, white button down, matching jewelry, and beautiful blue pumps.  These happen to be a Kate Spade pair and they are too die for!

 I posted a few months ago about this denim shirt I found in the Anthropologie sale room.  I love how versatile this shirt is.  Here it is paired with the colored jeans, a white camisole, and a pair of casual wedges.

 Pair them with this $38 navy tank from Anthropologie and you get a super comfy, shopping or beach outfit that won't break the bank.

Did you all get some good gift cards this Christmas?  It seems like it used to be tacky to give money or gift cards at the holidays, but now, it's one of the most, if not the most, given and received gift.  I don't know about you all, but I'll take a gift card any day over some gift that I won't or can't use.  Some of my favorite gift cards this year came from Anthropologie, Tory Burch, Banana Republic and Starbucks.  I can't wait to go out and use these cards to buy a new fabulous spring wardrobe.....and Starbucks, well that was used the very next day!  If gift cards burn a whole in your pocket, as they do mine, please let me know what you all intend to buy with yours.  Here's a few of the items I have my eye on for spring.  Happy Shopping!

What are you wearing this New Year's Eve?

What to wear this New Year's?????  I don't have to think too hard since I have three kids under the age of five, so as you can imagine, my New Year's Eve attire will include jeans and some sort of cute top.  I will not, however, forgo the fabulous high heels!  I wore stilettos all through my pregnancies and chasing around three small children in heels has become like second nature.  I do, though, really miss getting to wear an amazing cocktail dress this year.  It didn't stop me from browsing some of my favorite stores and sites and finding a few I'd love to be wearing this New Year's Eve.  Let me know what you think and do you have any ideas on what you all will be wearing?  I can't wait to see what all you  fashionistas come up with!

Merry Christmas everyone!  Sorry I've been MIA lately, but as you know, these days are so crazy busy.  I'm off to see some family for the next few days, but I'll try to post some from Memphis.  I'm hoping to do some shopping there.... Pottery Barn and William Sonoma outlet anyone?  Yea!!!

Kate Spade is not a name you would usually associate with a beer budget.  However, you can find a number of things there for less than $100 and trust me, you will love the look as well as the fabulous customer service they have to offer.  I actually had a purse I bought there one year that had the fabric wear on the corners.  It was probably two years old and I just wanted to see if they could fix it.  They said they didn't carry that purse anymore, but to pick out a new purse for the same cost and they would send me a replacement!  Of course I found one that was a little more expensive and they replaced it anyway at no cost.  Wow, that is what I call customer service.  You pay for what you get people, and trust me, you will have these pieces for years to come.  Take a look at a few of the items I would love to have under the tree this year....
